In keeping with our position of leadership in promoting safety in the entertainment industry, Sapsis Rigging, Inc. has developed a comprehensive seminar program for Schools, Professional Theaters, Corporations and Organizations. This program has been designed to address the ever-changing technology in the entertainment business, keeping current with new standards and materials. We feature a flexible curriculum, taking into account the attendees needs and requirements.
We offer two basic types of seminars: Counterweight Rigging and Arena Rigging.
Some of the topics included in these sessions are:
Fall Arrest Systems - Complying with OSHA regulations and staying safe on the job.
- Hardware - How to choose and then use the right materials.
- Rope, Cable and Slings - Matching the gear to the application.
- Fittings - Keeping equipment connected safely.
- Rigging Systems - The operation and maintenance of stage systems.
- Truss and Chain Hoists -Inspection, maintenance and proper use thereof.
Each session lasts approximately 7 hours, including coffee breaks and an hour lunch break. (It is suggested the host organization provide refreshments for coffee and lunch breaks.)
